Thermostat kit for Johnson and Evinrude outboards, covering 6-55 HP crossflow V4 and V6 models, 40-250 HP E-TEC models and 9.9 / 15 HP four-strokes from 1994-2001. It replaces 5005440, 508626, 378065, 393659, 434841, 437414 and 377148, plus Mercury Marine 75692, 62981, 66850 and 75692B2, Sierra 18-3543 / 18-3553, GLM 13010 and Mallory 9-43101. A thermostat stuck open keeps the motor cold and rich, while one stuck closed causes rapid overheating and a weak tell-tale. The kit is supplied as one thermostat kit.
