Product Overview
Thermostat for Yamaha 2-stroke outboards with a 50 °C (122 °F) opening temperature, replacing 6H3-12411-10, 6H3-12411-11-00 and 6E5-12411-00. It fits 60 HP models from 2001-2005, C60 from 1996-2001, E60 from 1995-2000, P60 from 1991-1999, 70 HP from 1984-2009 and C70 from 2000-2001. A thermostat stuck open keeps the motor cold, fouls plugs and wastes fuel, while one stuck closed causes rapid overheating and a weak tell-tale. Replace the thermostat whenever the engine runs outside its normal temperature range.
