Timing belt 57-804145 for Mercury four stroke 75HP, 80HP, 90HP, 100HP and 115HP outboards, also sold as Yamaha 67F-46241-00-00 and Sierra 18-15131. This is the belt part that drives the camshaft off the crankshaft, it comes in a 200 mm x 250 mm x 50 mm bag at 165 g, and the serial number ranges for both brands are listed below.
The Mercury 75 to 115 HP four strokes of this era are the same basic engine as the Yamaha F75 to F115 four strokes, which is why one belt carries both a Mercury number and a Yamaha number. Check the number on the old belt, not just the motor, before ordering.
A timing belt is a scheduled replacement, not a fix after a failure. If the belt lets go the pistons hit the valves and the repair cost jumps from a belt to a cylinder head.
