Product Overview
Timing belt kit with tensioner pulley for the Volvo red block petrol engines, replacing belt 463377 and 271713 and pulley 463633, 4636338 and 32298826, and crossing to SKF VKM 16300. The kit is supplied complete, so the belt and the tensioner are changed together as they should be.
It fits the 240, 340, 360, 740, 760, 940 and 960 ranges built between 1974 and 1995. Those cars are also the donor engines for a lot of small marine and industrial installations, which is why the kit sells outside the car market as well.
Change the tensioner with the belt every time. A new belt run on a worn tensioner will walk off the cam gear, and on these engines that is valve to piston contact, not a roadside stop.

Before You Buy
- Check the old belt against 463377 or 271713, the 16 valve engines use a different belt
- Check the tensioner against 463633 or 32298826 before ordering
- Line the cam and crank marks before the old belt comes off, and do not turn either once it is off
- Fit the new tensioner first, then the belt, and tension it by hand before the final check
- Turn the engine through two full revolutions by hand and recheck the marks before starting it
- Replace the auxiliary belts at the same time, they have to come off anyway
