Trim Angle Sensor 34801-99E04 for Suzuki DF25 DF90 DF140 DF200 DF250 Outboard
Trim Angle Sensor 34801-99E04 for Suzuki DF25 DF90 DF140 DF200 DF250 Outboard
Product Overview
Trim angle sensor for the Suzuki DF25 to DF250 outboards, supplied as 1 x trim sender assembly. This is the part that tells the gauge where the engine is trimmed, from fully down to fully up. It replaces Suzuki 34801-99E04, it covers 20 models across the DF range from 1998 to 2012 and later, and it is the sender assembly that fits in place of the original on the tilt tube.
The sender is a rheostat turned by the trim movement. The gauge reads a resistance, and the resistance changes as the arm on the sender is turned by the engine as it trims.
It fails from water. The sender sits on the tilt tube where it gets wet every trip, and the track inside corrodes before the arm or the housing gives any trouble. The gauge then reads in the wrong place, or jumps about, or sits at one end all day.
The other failure is mechanical. The arm gets bent in a grounding or when the engine is lifted by hand, and a bent arm reads the wrong angle even though the sender itself is still working.
The same sender is used across the whole DF range because the trim geometry did not change from the smallest engine to the 250 HP. The model and year table below is the one to check against the engine.

This is the application list given on the listings for this sender. The engine codes are the ones on the model plate, and the DF115WT is listed separately from the DF115 because it is a different build year rather than a different sender.
The DF150, DF175, DF200, DF225 and DF250 rows are given as open ended years on the listing, so the sender covers those engines from the year shown onwards.
The engine type on the listings for this sender is written as DF 25 30 40 50 60 70 90-250 HP outboard motors. The 90-250 part of that string is shorthand for the DF90 through DF250 engines rather than a single model, and the full list of those engines is in the table above. If your engine is not in the table, send us the model and the serial number and we will check the sender against it before you order.
