Product Overview
Trim ram hydraulic cylinder hose kit for Mercury MerCruiser Alpha One and Bravo sterndrives, a complete set of four external hoses: one 32-864589, one 32-864588 and two 32-99904Q. It also crosses to Sierra 18-2136, 18-2137 and 18-2116, GLM 26250 and 26200, and Mallory 9-71514 and 71514, 9-71515 and 71515. The set suits Alpha One Gen I up to 1990 with 15 9/16 in trim cylinders, and Bravo One, Bravo One X, Bravo Two and Bravo Three drives. Shipped from our Germany local warehouse.
The hoses run from the pump manifold out to the two trim rams, and they sit in the transom area where salt spray collects and nothing drains. The rubber itself usually outlives the crimped ends: the steel ferrule rusts, the crimp loosens, and the drive starts creeping down overnight or leaves a thin oil sheen behind the boat.
Four hoses are supplied because they age together. Replacing the one that is visibly weeping leaves three more at the same stage, and on a boat that is lifted for the season the second failure usually arrives the following spring, with the same labour charge attached.
