Product Overview
Trim and tilt sender sensor part for Volvo Penta SX-A, DPS-A and DPS-B sterndrives, replacing 21484383 and 3841840. It is supplied as 1 x sensor, and it is the unit that turns the drive angle into a reading on the dash gauge.
The sender mounts on the drive and sweeps as the leg goes up and down. When it fails the gauge sticks at one end, jumps when the boat is on plane, or reads full up when the drive is down, and the trim limit function stops working with it.
It fits the SX-A, DPS-A and DPS-B drives, which covers the petrol and diesel sterndrives from the 4.3 L V6 upwards. Match the old sender against 21484383 or 3841840 before ordering, because the earlier SX and DP senders look similar and do not interchange.

- Check the sender linkage for wear first, a loose arm reads like a failed sensor
