Product Overview
Trim and tilt switch assembly, a direct replacement part for the Yamaha 704 single engine control handle and the remote control box that uses it. It replaces Yamaha 704-82563-40, 704-82563-41 and 704-82563-42, and is sold as the complete switch with its wiring. It comes in a 150 mm x 100 mm x 40 mm box (5.91 in x 3.94 in x 1.57 in) at 150 g.
The switch sits on top of the handle where the thumb rests, which is why it is the first electrical part on a control box to fail. Salt, sun and thousands of presses wear the rocker and the contacts behind it.
The complete assembly replaces the switch and its pigtail in one go. Splicing a new rocker onto old wiring is the usual cause of a trim that works one way and not the other.
The same handle was used across the Yamaha four stroke range from the FT50 up to the F275, so one switch covers the whole list below.
