Water Pump Impeller Kit 17400-94701 for Suzuki DT50 DT55 DT65 2-Stroke 18-3243
Water Pump Impeller Kit 17400-94701 for Suzuki DT50 DT55 DT65 2-Stroke 18-3243
Product Overview
Water pump impeller kit for the Suzuki 50HP, 55HP and 65HP two-stroke outboards, DT50, DT55 and DT65 built from 1985 to 1997. It replaces 17400-94700 and 17400-94701 and crosses to Sierra 18-3243. The kit carries the impeller, the stainless plate, the drive key and the plate gasket, which is the full set of parts that wear inside the pump.
The DT55 and DT65 share one pump, and it is the pump that fails first on an engine of this age. A vane that has taken a set over a winter will still pump at cruising speed but starve the powerhead at idle, and by the time the overheat horn sounds the damage is usually in the cylinders rather than the pump. Drop the leg, inspect the housing and cup, and rebuild the pump before the season starts.

Before You Buy
- Check the model code on the cowling, DT55 and DT65 share this pump and the DT50 of the same years does too
- This kit is for the two-stroke engines, the DF four-strokes use a different impeller
- Check the pump housing and cup for scoring while the pump is apart, a grooved housing wears a new impeller quickly
- Fit the stainless plate from the kit, reusing a worn plate is the usual reason a new impeller fails early
- Lubricate the impeller with glycerine and turn the shaft clockwise as the housing goes down
- Run the engine on muffs and confirm a strong telltale before the boat leaves the ramp
- 30-Day Easy Returns
- Free Worldwide Shipping
