Water pump impeller with gasket for Mercury and Mariner 18 HP to 50 HP outboards and Force 25, 40 and 50 HP models, 6 blades, 73 mm diameter, 12.6 mm high, 16 mm shaft, key drive, replacing 47-85089-10, 47-850893 and 8M0204712.
This is the 73 mm key drive impeller used on the two cylinder and three cylinder mid range Mercury motors and on the Force range built alongside them. The cover gasket comes in the pack because the stainless plate under the pump housing rarely seals twice.
Key drive rather than spline, so check the key and the keyway on the shaft before fitting. A key that has been rolling around in the housing will normally have chewed the slot, and a new impeller on a damaged keyway will not last a season.

- Check the serial, the Mercury ranges in the table above are not the same across horsepower
- Check the key and the keyway on the shaft, a worn key will strip a new impeller
- Check the pump housing liner and the wear plate for grooves before refitting
- Fit with glycerine or soap only, never grease or oil on neoprene
- Fold the blades in the direction of rotation as the housing goes down
- Run on muffs and check the telltale stream before taking the boat out
