Product Overview
Complete water pump kit for Mercury outboards from 30 HP to 70 HP, supplied with the upper housing 46-77822A1, the impeller 47-89983, the face plate 54705, the stainless bowl, the gasket and seal set and the drive key, 224 g with packaging. It replaces 46-77516A3 and 46-77177A3, and crosses to Sierra 18-3322, 18-3323 and 18-3324. Held in our Australia local warehouse.
On the 30 to 70 HP three and four cylinder motors the housing and the face plate are both wear items. Sand drawn up a shallow ramp grinds the stainless bowl and scores the housing, and a new impeller dropped into a scored housing runs hot from the first trip.
Mercury changed the pump body more than once inside these horsepower ratings, so the cowl decal proves nothing. The serial number on the clamp bracket is what decides it, and the range table below is the reference.
