Water pump impeller kit, a direct replacement part for Mercury Mariner 48 HP, 55 HP and 60 HP two cylinder outboards, and for the Yamaha 40 HP to 70 HP motors that take the same impeller. It replaces Mercury 47-81423M, 47-82824M and 47-97108M, Yamaha 6H3-44352-00 and Sierra 18-3069. The impeller measures 51.65 mm outside diameter with 6 blades, and the kit weighs 60 g with its packaging.
This is the rubber star inside the water pump. It spins with the driveshaft and throws water up to the powerhead, and it is the part that fails first because it runs dry every time the motor starts on the muffs.
