Product Overview
Water pump impeller kit for Johnson and Evinrude 55 HP to 75 HP two stroke outboards, the neoprene impeller 765431 with its drive key. It replaces 765431, 777824 and 382547, crosses to Sierra 18-3082, Mallory 9-45213, GLM 89940, SEI 96-366-03AE and CEF 500307, and the impeller is 3.615 inch outside diameter with a 0.755 inch shaft bore.
It fits the 55 HP from 1968 to 1969, the 60 HP from 1970 to 1971, the 65 HP from 1972 to 1973, and both the 70 HP and 75 HP from 1974 to 1978. These are the three cylinder loop charged motors that OMC built by the thousand, and most of them are still working.
Six vanes, a brass hub and a key that stops the impeller turning on the shaft. When the vanes take a set the pump still moves water at idle but loses flow as the revs rise, and the motor runs hot at exactly the moment you need it. The kit is the impeller and the key, which is the pair that wears together.
