Product Overview
Water pump impeller kit for Honda BF9.9A and BF15A four stroke outboards, replacing 06192-ZV4-000 and 06192-ZV4-A00. It crosses to Sierra 18-3280 and Mallory 9-48701, and the kit is supplied with the impeller, 2 gaskets and 1 key.
The impeller is 40.95 mm outside diameter, 14.11 mm at the hub and 28.37 mm deep, with 6 blades on a key drive in neoprene rubber. Those are the numbers to check against the old part, because the BF9.9 and BF15 share a gearcase family but the earlier BF100 and BF8 use a different pump.
The kit is the three parts that actually get replaced on a Honda service: the impeller itself, the two gaskets either side of the pump housing, and the key that drives the impeller on the shaft. The key is the one that gets lost, and a pump that runs without it looks fine on the bench and pumps nothing on the water.

- Check the model plate is BF9.9A or BF15A, the BF8 and BF100 use a different pump
- Measure the old impeller at 40.95 mm outside and 28.37 mm deep before ordering
- Check the old key is still on the shaft, a missing key is why some pump rebuilds do not pump
- Inspect the pump liner for scoring, a grooved liner wears a new impeller out in a season
- Do not run the engine dry after fitting, the impeller needs water for the first start
- Check the telltale stream at idle and again at planing speed on the first run
