Product Overview
Complete water pump kit for Johnson and Evinrude outboards from 50 HP to 175 HP. The pack holds 1 x impeller, 1 x housing, 2 x plates, 2 x keys, 2 x O-rings, 1 x grommet, 1 x seal, 1 x gasket and the bolts, replacing 0432955, 0436957 and 0438591, with Sierra 18-3389 and 18-3387 as cross references.
This is the whole pump, not the rubber alone. The kit carries the stainless cup and the wear plate along with a new housing, so a pump that has been run dry to the point of a scored body gets rebuilt rather than patched.
It covers the three cylinder 50, 60, 65, 70 and 75 HP motors of the late 1980s and 1990s and the 150 and 175 HP V6 of 1988. Check the year and horsepower against the table below, the earlier 75 HP uses a different housing.

Before You Buy
- Check the year and horsepower against the table, the 1975 to 1987 75 HP is listed but later motors differ
- Check the old impeller comes out whole, a missing blade has to be found before the new pump goes on
- Check the driveshaft for a worn key slot, a loose key will strip the new impeller hub
- Clean both mating faces and fit the new gasket dry, old gasket left on shifts the housing
- Fold the impeller blades in the direction of rotation and fit the keys before pushing the housing down
- Torque the bolts evenly and check the telltale at idle before the first trip
