Product Overview
Water pump rebuild kit, a cooling system part for OMC Cobra and Cobra SX sterndrives from 2.3 L to 7.5 L and 140 HP to 460 HP. It replaces OMC 0984461 and 0765582 and crosses to Sierra 18-3212-1, and the box carries the impeller 983895, the stainless liner 91184, the wear plate 911703, the face seal 911704 and the housing gasket 911702. Net weight 243 g. Shipped from our Germany local warehouse.
The liner is what makes this kit worth having over an impeller alone. On the Cobra pump the stainless liner is pressed into the housing, and it is the liner, not the housing, that scores when the impeller fails, so liner, plate and seal go in together and the pump is rebuilt once instead of twice in a season.
These drives were built from 1986 to 1993 and the same kit was sold across the OMC, Johnson and Evinrude dealer counters, so a Johnson or Evinrude badged Cobra takes the same 0984461.
