Product Overview
Complete water pump kit with housing for OMC Cobra sterndrives, the Johnson and Evinrude inboard range from 2.3 L to 7.5 L, supplied as impeller, water pump housing, cup and liner, impeller plate, gasket and rubber seal. It replaces OMC 984461, 984461 H, 765582, 0765582 and 0984461, and crosses to Sierra 18-3348 and 18-3212-1 and Mallory 9-45285. The impeller itself is 777128 and the housing is 984744, so both halves of the pump wear surface are in the box. These drives run raw water cooling with no separate pump, so a torn impeller means no cooling at all, and the housing is normally scored by the time the vanes let go; fitting a new impeller into a worn housing loses prime at idle and cooks the engine on the next long run.
