Water pump impeller repair kit, a direct replacement part for Mercury, Mariner, Force and MerCruiser outboards and sterndrives from 65 HP to 225 HP. It replaces Mercury Marine 47-89984, 47-899842, 47-899843, 47-89984T3, 47-89984T4, 47-899844, 47-F694065 and 47-803631T, and crosses to Sierra 18-3017, GLM 89840, CEF 500313 and SEI 96-102-06K. The kit weighs 13 g and ships in a 150 mm x 100 mm x 50 mm box (5.91 in x 3.94 in x 1.97 in).
The box holds the impeller, the drive key and the two pump gaskets. Those four pieces are the whole service on this pump, so there is nothing else to buy unless the housing or the wear plate is scored.
This is the pump fitted to the mid size Mercury and Mariner outboards, the Force motors and every MerCruiser #1, R, MR and Alpha sterndrive up to serial D494568. The same impeller has been in service for decades, which is why the aftermarket crossover list is long.
Fitment below is given by model and serial number. Read the number off the plate rather than guessing from the cowl, because Mercury changed the pump on some models in the middle of a model year.
