Water pump impeller with key, a direct replacement part for Johnson, Evinrude, OMC and BRP outboards from 4 HP to 8 HP. It replaces Johnson and Evinrude 389576, 433914, 777822 and their full numbers 0389576, 0433914, 0436137, 0433936, 0777822, 0778225, and crosses to Sierra 18-3091, Mallory 9-45214, GLM Marine 89500 and CEF 500354. The impeller has 6 blades in neoprene with a metal hub, 38.40 mm (1.51 in) outside diameter, 17.90 mm (0.70 in) high and an 11.2 mm (0.44 in) shaft bore, and the drive key is in the bag. Packed in a 150 mm x 180 mm x 50 mm box (5.91 in x 7.09 in x 1.97 in) at 35 g.
This is the impeller for the small four to eight horsepower Johnson and Evinrude two strokes, and the same body also fits the four stroke versions of the 5, 6 and 8 HP motors. The drive key is included because the key is what wears out alongside the impeller and it is the part people lose when the impeller comes out.
Fitment runs by model year as well as horsepower. A 4 HP from 1981 is not the same motor as a 4 HP from 1990 in this range, so check the year and the model against the table below.
The 436137 number is the same impeller listed under the shorter Johnson format. Both forms are on the cross reference, so either number you find on the old part will match.
