Raw water pump rebuild kit part for Yanmar 2GM, 3GM, 2YM and 3YM marine diesel engines, matching Yanmar kit 128377-42500 and 128990-42500. The impeller inside is 50.8 mm (2 inch) diameter, 22 mm wide with a 12 mm shaft and 6 blades, and the kit contains 13 components.
This is the major rebuild kit, not an impeller and gasket pair. It carries the two bearings, the lip seal, the spacer plate, the end cover, the retaining rings, the two O-rings, the screws and the impeller, which is what a pump needs after salt water has been through it for a decade.
It fits the 1997 and newer European built models whose serial number starts with E: 2GM20, 3GM30, 2YM15, 3YM20 and 3YM30 in all their variants. It is similar to Yanmar 128377-42500 but does not include the belt and some nuts and washers, so check the old pump against the contents list before ordering.

Before You Buy
- Check the engine plate for a serial number starting with E, the Japanese built pump is different
- Compare the old pump cover against the contents list, this kit has no belt and no nuts or washers
- Inspect the pump housing bore before rebuilding, a deeply scored housing will leak past new seals
- Press the bearings in with the seal faces toward the water side, reversed seals fail in days
- Lubricate the impeller with glycerine and turn the shaft by hand to set the blade direction
- Check for drips at the weep hole after the first run, that is the lip seal telling you it went in dry
